Last weekend I went to a music festival in a meadow in Crouch End in north London....
and a park in Camberwell in south London.Who needs to live in the countryside?
When did it become the norm for cars, vans bikes etc to drive straight over Zebra Crossings while you are actually still crossing?
Top tip: look left, look right and run for your life........
I love urban meadows and parks - but I do love living close enough to both. Bring back that sunshine!! xxx
ReplyDeleteOur daughter lives in Crouch End …. I LOVE it. There's also Ali Pally where there's always something going on and a Farmers market ……. bringing the countryside to the city !!
ReplyDeleteMaybe all of the drivers in the outer London suburbs have just come back from Italy / Germany / France !!!! XXXX
It sounds like here (Indiana in the States) where everyone drives like they're trying out for the Indy 500!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love to live so pleasantly...one of my VERY FAVORITE songs. I would LOVE to live in the countryside. I'm dreaming about it right now. Such pretty pictures.
ReplyDeleteSo much greenery and open spaces in London, it all looks so pretty
ReplyDeleteIts like a world away now, what happened to those skies? xxx
ReplyDeleteFestivals and parks in the sunshine, lovely. Not so lovely to have to scoot across a zebra crossing in mortal danger! xxx
ReplyDeleteI have almost-daily battles with cars in zebra crossings. I walk a lot, so nothing makes me angrier than entitled drivers.
ReplyDeleteI was in Hyde Park yesterday and despite the crowds it was great, they'd let so much of the grass grow and there were so many wild flowers and big trees.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely. I love London.
ReplyDeleteMy sister used to live in Peckham (still owns the house actually) but am never wondered around that lovely Camberwell park. There is nothing, nothing as beautiful as London parks, I miss the Kensington one like crazy
ReplyDeleteI miss London!
ReplyDeleteWhen we've got good weather, there's no place like home! Except up here in Scotland where we also have midges the size of starlings! I haven't been abroad for years - there's loads to do in the UK and seeing your pix just makes me hunger to return to London!
ReplyDeleteSo green and beautiful! Kisses
