Honestly, I've had enough of this.....
and I want some of this.....
Young at heart is away.......
Top tip:live in a warm climate.
The big four O used to hail the end of life as we knew it but with 40 being the new 30 where does that leave 50? Clearly, things don't become any clearer and without the option of a blue rinse and sensible shoes, we need to re-write the manual for the jam-making years.
Hehe I've seen so many "think positive" posts about spring and the weather, I love your realistic take! A warmer climate is definitely the answer! I'll do a sun dance :)
ReplyDeleteIt's coming! supposedly 17 degrees on Saturday! Julie x
ReplyDeleteUgh-that first picture looks cold. I remember living in Michigan and this time of year was always a drag...soggy sog! I only wish I could have sent you a bit of sunshine from Los Cabos-maybe we should invent a little Fed ex sunshine.
ReplyDeleteWarm weather is coming-I promise!
Cheers, Heather
The grass is always greener. Actually YOUR grass is probably greener. I live in a warm climate, though I grew up in a cold climate and I really do miss the change of seasons...a LOT! The endless sunshine can make one feel kind of slow and stupid. Give me a bracing snow storm once in awhile just to remind me that I'm alive!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from sunny Southern California!

Sunny and warm in Seattle, for 10 minutes at least.
ReplyDeleteHope you're away somwhere warm! We're off to Majorca next Tuesday - can't wait! x

Our weather warmed up dramatically yesterday--90 F--and now I'm counting down the days until fall, LOL.
ReplyDeleteDue to reach 20 degrees next week, apparently, so there is hope. Enjoy your trip away!
ReplyDeleteIt's a scorching 6 degrees here in north Lancastire. And rather pathetically, we're grateful!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely time and post an online postcard X
It's also the same temperature in north *Lancashire* :)
DeleteIt's going to change soon! :)
ReplyDeleteHave some for me - it's only been a few weeks since I was in India but it feels like an eternity! x
ReplyDeleteIronic I just posted about rain this morning lol
ReplyDeleteJealous. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI heard a wicked rumour that it will reach 20 degrees this weekend, not holding my breath.
ReplyDelete~ Hello...I know just what you mean! Honestly I am the chilliest person on the planet! We have it a bit milder in dear old Cumbria, today! Yippee!~But truthfully it has been a long....long ...time coming...AND... with NO summer last year! OFF my soap box now...hehe...with kindest thoughts...and enjoy your weekend...Maria x
ReplyDeleteI just sat out in the garden for 20 minutes - blimey - had forgotten what sun felt like!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you know all the best places, as we're now graying and dripping in Southern California.
ReplyDeleteSending you warm hugs from here. Love fresh blooms of April. Got my eye on your next posts.
ReplyDeleteIt did cheer up for the weekend and is warmer now if not that sunny :-)
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to your next post!!
ReplyDeleteAlmost too scared to ask if there has been any improvement? Young at Heart needs to come back!
ReplyDeleteHope the sun is shining when you read this!
ReplyDeleteCheers, jj
I know _ i've heard the weather over there has been brutal - trying to send some sun!!
ReplyDeleteHi, my Dear! I hope the sun is shining for your now, and you're getting some flowers! Thank you SO much for all your delightful visits and sweet comments for me...I swear, I am so behind! I decided that this evening was for me and I was going to sit down and make time to write and visit! ♥ Our youngest, Jonathan, graduates in 3 weeks and it seems like every day lately is just wild...and he takes care of most of it himself! (But I stress!) Tomorrow we have to see his advisor at the university about this fall's schedule...and this weekend is Senior Prom...:^) I guess I just need to settle down and make more Fairy Houses...;) ~ I am seriously having TOO much fun with those...♥)
ReplyDeleteHugs to you, my friend!
Anne
That is a great top tip! We had a few days of beautiful sunshine but today it's a bit chilly...brrr:) Kisses
